Formawerx specializes in making unique keypieces for a selected range of cars. They use their historied expertise in automotive design to study and distill the stories of the cars each keypiece is crafted for.
Their new logotype reflects the swiss percision Formawerx aims to achieve as well as the nature of their manufacturing process. The keys are CNC machined and the ink traps in the type are there to be a reminder of the process. While the shape of the type is overall very sharp, certain areas are softened to achieve a resemblence to the keys’ curves.
The new logomark illustrates the motion of starting your car. It was designed with the intention of fitting in with the symbols and indicators commonly found on a car’s dashboard. The mark is used on its own or as a superscript to the logomark.
