My design process ensures that each client’s voice is heard, and every project is completed to the highest standard. Whether it’s a logo, branding or lettering, the process remains (mostly) the same.

Every successful project starts with a conversation. We talk about your brand, product, design needs, goals – and challenges. We get a sense of what we want to accomplish together – and ultimately, what my work should tell the world about your brand. There’s a set of questions I like to ask. For example: How would you describe your business in one word? What do you want the new branding to accomplish? Once we’ve aligned our visions, I start to research. My research involves things like analyzing competitors and gathering visual references.

This is where the magic happens. Based on my research, I usually start by sketching out ideas by hand, refining them digitally, and iterating on them until they feel right. Logo projects include a couple of different proposals, while brandings also consist of color palettes, type treatments, product mockups and a variety of other applications. You, as my client, get to define what use cases you want to see and how many different design concepts you would like to explore. I aim to overdeliver with every one of my clients, completely immersing myself into their world, so this step will take up most of our time together. At the end of this phase, I create a detailed, customized presentation showcasing all of my research, concepts, and use cases.
Iteration & Evolution

Nothing great is ever accomplished alone. Your feedback is critical to the process. This is where we connect again and talk about the work. I’ll walk you through my presentation and let you in on my thought process. Together we narrow down on your favorite route and discuss next steps. We continue this process until we have the outcome you dreamed of and consider the design complete.

Completion & Delivery
Once our vision has come to life, it’s time to wrap things up. This includes creating the final assets you’ll use for your business and producing brand guidelines that will help your team apply the new logo or branding correctly. Since each project is different, deliverables can vary. My goal is to provide you with everything you need to launch your new branding, product or firm. Your success is my success.
